Kidato by Promanent
Promanent has developed a core e-learning test and quiz technology. This has until now only been used for the production of our own publications (software) and for products that we made in assignment for others.
We are about to launch our technology as a seperate set of Tools to be used by teachers, trainers, etc. to design and build their own tests and quizzes. Based on the same technology we are currently developing an online version of our software and tools so this can be used as an online webservice (ASP or software as a service).
Kidato is the name for our technology and the range of new products. Kidato Live will be the name for the online part of our products and services.
The core idea behind our software (+technology) is its simplicity and ease of use. Teachers are no software experts and they are also no (web) designers. Present e-learning systems are far to complex for what they need. Our idea is to offer a simple straight forward product and service that makes designing, building and publishing a quiz or test as simple as using Gmail or Powerpoint.
With now over 150.000 people who have used our software to pass one or more exams, we have proven that we know how to make user-friendly e-learning software. Our Kidato products and services now makes this technology readily available to anybody wishing to make and publish his/ her own test or quiz.
Users of our software
Schools, universities, training institutes
Anybody wishing to do something with questions, tests and quizzes
For us a new market
We need the basic design or webtemplate for our Kidato website that will be hosted on http://www.kidato.com. This will be the website for our Kidato line of products and services.
As a start for your work and to give you information to use in your design we have made a sample page at:
The design should be attractive, have a pleasant modern look, but should also be simple to implement and fast to load.
There is no style determined yet, only the Kidato logo and colours are given. You can download the logo in the original colours from this contest.
We favour a design that uses as many CSS and HTML style elements over a design that can only be achieved using many graphics. You have to comply with common webstandards (W3C).
Elements and graphics should be well documented and readily available. So for example if you choose to use some pictures or icons or other stock material, this should come from a library of material that offers other icons etc. and is also available for us when we want to extend the website.
The final website will be implemented using HTML, CSS and will run on classic ASP plus ASP.NET and thus is hosted on a Windows IIS platform.
You make the design, we will build the website.
