We sell large museum quality GICLEE prints of unusual vintage labels and bookplates, mostly from the 1800s - early 1900s. These images are generally from China, Japan, India and Europe....and many are originally extremely small. We scan them at a very high resolution, enlarge them, and print them on archival paper using archival pigments. Our target audience is mostly female, 25-65, and those interested in home decor and art. Our website needs to consist of enough pages to feature over 100 different prints in 5 or 6 categories (matchbox labels, firecracker labels, ethnic past cultures, etc.) We currently only have a FB page which shows many of our products and we are continually adding to our inventory. So our website must be an e-commerce site that allows shoppers to browse, select and buy with a shopping cart, and all the bells and whistles that go along with that.

No, but we do have a Facebook page called DODO MOjO.
¿Qué idea tienes, qué estilo te gusta para tu web page?
I would like black backgrounds on most or all of the pages so that the print colors and images stand out. Even though our name "DODO MOjO" is a bit funky (think of the title as representing extinct, old, magical, talisman and charismatic), we want our look or image to be upscale, eclectic, sophisticated, esoteric, and of high quality.....an online store where you will NOT find your typical vintage cigar labels or botanicals. ( Also, I should say here that we do NOT remove the yellowing, rips, smudges, and worn edges that are inherent in old paper ephemera when we are getting our images ready for print. We believe in keeping the authentic look of a piece of visual history, complete with all of its original flaws. We think that makes it beautiful). So our website should obviously reflect the images we sell....I would love to see an old engraving of a dodo bird (there are a few online) used in some way on the opening page along with our logo (which is still being developed).....and a few of our prints. I love beautiful, legible typography and fonts as well....who doesn't! I also like wonderful vintage textures, yellowing, etc......which could be a part of the home page design.

Page 1: The homepage should be gorgeous, introduce our company and what we do as well as direct them to search or browse our prints. It should also show our newest additions and prints on special.
Page 2,3,4: These should be our 5-6 categories which feature all of our prints and their costs & sizes. We may need more than 3 pages here. Our FB page shows all the categories.
Page 5: This should be our payment page.
Lo que debe evitarse
Probably no photographs....
I have uploaded a few examples of our product, firecracker labels, antique matchbox labels etcetera....these should be shown with a white border and the shape of the print should not be altered to "fit" a grid layout. The grid designed to show the products must be flexible enough to feature the entire print (no stretching or compacting of the image). I hope that's clear. I want the shopper to know that what they see is what they'll get.
The 5 attached images at the bottom of the files could become the background of the home page.
