The projection of professionalism and credibility is a key factor in the success of the new site. The site shall evoke a contemporary, and professional feel, implementing a simple intuitive navigation system which allows customers to investigate the site easily and at their own pace.

Please note this site is NOT going to replace the current LJW website. Please do not use the images or text from this site in your designs.

Introduction

 

LJW is an established recruitment business, providing recruitment services for employers and employees. As part of their planned expansion efforts, LJW wish to launch a new online presence targeted towards employers -educating and further qualifying potential clients, empowering them to make contact via the web.

The Proposed Web site

 

The primary purpose of the proposed website will be to allow clients (employers) access the information they require easily, particularly offering seamless browsing and navigation, product and service information and imagery, enquiries / contact and company profile / credentials.

The proposed site shall include information and imagery outlining all LJW’s products and services which users can browse via an intuitive navigation menu. The site shall also contain an extensive section on employee profiling services and FAQs.

Along with a comprehensive index of product and service information, the site shall offer additional information to users including the general services information, enquiries and contact, company profile / credentials.

The site shall be primarily targeted to an employer audience not employee. A small section (one page) of the site shall be directed towards employees which directs employees to another of the LJW’s sites.

Design

 

The design of the proposed site shall convey simplicity and cohesion, in a proffessional and contemporary style that will be appealing to an audience in the corporate sector and employers in general.

The projection of professionalism and credibility is a key factor in the success of the new site. The site shall evoke a contemporary, and professional feel, implementing a simple intuitive navigation system which allows customers to investigate the site easily and at their own pace.

The visual design of the site shall incorporate the branding and identity elements including Logo, typeface colours etc … See links to files below.

The designs for this site must use a palette of strong colours in keeping with the logo and typeface. This shall reflect the fact that the business is an established entity in the recruitment industry.

The use of appropriate imagery alongside the identity elements will make up the core of the sites composition other elements such as layout, typography and navigation implemented with a uniform feel across the site will create coherent and identifiable web presence, reflecting LJW’s status online.

For this competition a home page design only is required, the home page must contain the following elements:

• Logo and Business Name.
• Mast head.
• Navigation Menu.
• 4 x equal size feature boxes / areas*
• Footer

 

The design of this homepage should also be easily converted for use as a content page, capable of displaying large amounts of body text and imagery.

* The 4 boxes of the index page should be present an introduction for clients, an introduction for candidates, an introduction to profiling services and an introduction and link to LJW’s automotive recruitment website with logo (logo supplied).

Audience

 

The target audience for the LJW site will be predominantly of the corporate sector and employers in general, male and female adults in Human Resources, employment services and white collar business.

The site shall communicate to them; company profile and credentials, company identity, contact details, product and service information and a means to contact LJW.

All the elements outlined in this document shall coalesce to create a positive and accurate impression of LJW in the mind of the potential clients, resulting in a strong flow on enquiries and interest from the website.
