Steinbacher & Stahl
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to check out my listing. I am hoping to have an experienced designer create a more modern version of our current site -- we've shuffled around some staff, and our current site is out of date, and we decided that this would be a great time to re-build from the ground up. Our current site can be found at http://www.ssselderlaw.com -- We like the current "feel" of the site -- the warm, inviting, nature theme is great. However, we've been consulting with a web marketing expert, who provided some ideas for improvements to what we've already got online (detailed in the requirements section below).
Our firm is one that specializes in elder law and special needs planning -- as such, we like the idea of a site that is inviting, one that emphasizes seniors and their families, and also one that is easy to navigate.
We have two main "targets" -- the first is the adult child of a senior who will likely need nursing home care soon, or who is already receiving nursing home care. This adult child is typically in their 40s or 50s, is usually female (thought not always), and is struggling with their decision of moving mom or dad into a care facility.
Our second "target" is the senior him or herself, who may be caring for a spouse, family member, or friend who is also in need of long-term care. In either case, even though we are technically attorneys, our site should have much less of a "legal" feel and more of a caring feel.
Our site should remain easy to navigate -- as far as sections of the web site go, we'd like to have links available for a home page, resources, blog, and contact information. Perhaps the best way to do this would be to have a horizontal menu across the top of every page, with a two-column layout below -- one narrow column for highlighting features of our site, and a wide column for the actual content. Please do feel free to be creative, though -- as long as it's easy to use, we're happy.
The other thing that we want is to be able to have plenty of space "above the fold" (meaning the user doesn't have to scroll) where we can highlight the free reports that we offer and insert video promoting these reports. We'd also like the phone number displayed prominently, probably in the top right corner of every page. Basically, we want every user to our site to either call us or sign up for a report, so any winning design would have to have a prominent place to make those available.
Finally, please be aware that we are now "Steinbacher & Stahl" -- one of our partners left to pursue other opportunities, so be aware of that as you review our current site at http://www.ssselderlaw.com.
I'm sure I've left some things out, so please do feel free to contact me with any questions. Best of luck!
