Broadcast Warehouse is an online distributor of radio broadcasting equipment, with clients around the world.
Currently, the site is going through a redesign to improve the navigation and increase the sales orders. This new site design is not yet live but can be seen at test.broadcastwarehouse.com.
We want to expand the services that Broadcast Warehouse offer by introducing 2 new divisions. The first is a consultancy service which will offer customers a turn-key solution for various radio broadcasting applications. The second will offer premium brands, we have exclusivity with, to mainly UK customers.
These two new sub sites will sit side by side Broadcast Warehouse . The idea is to provide users with an option to switch between sites throughout navigation, but clarity on which site they are currently on. With each brand complementing each other but also being distinguishable.
This brief focuses on the first division, consultancy services called Radio Guru.
the purpose of the RadioGuru website is to offer customers our consultancy services, turnkey projects, full packages and installation. This will be for customers who are new to radio and are wanting to start up a station for the first time, or for experienced engineers who are looking to solve a problem or want the ease of having someone else doing the organisation. The consultancy site will provide case studies of how we have made an impact on other stations, with a big focus on visuals, statistics, personalised advice and support.
The consulting site homepage will be very visual, ideally with the responsive fold and parallax design to tell stories from case studies and offer broadcast scenario/solutions through powerful images.
Most pages for RadioGuru website should have the functionality of embedding videos, gif files, and images. Furthermore, the website design needs to be SEO-friendly and with responsive design to ensure the mobile-friendly experience for our customers.
Broadcast Warehouse has gone through a rebranding, which will be introduced with the new site. The RadioGuru brand will feel similar to Broadcast Warehouse, but with a distinct difference. The brand guidelines are attached to the brief. We would like the brand DNAs to be extended to the new sites to increase the brand awareness.
On top navigation, all brands will co-exist throughout the navigation on all sites. However, it will be clear for users which site they will be on (similar to Gap site: http://www.gap.com/) so that the site they are currently on will have a colourful logo on top right corner and others are greyed out.
