This contest is for a website design. Please use the wireframe at http://www.iavionics.com/wf for the layout design. I would like to see 2 pages: Home page and Search Results page. I will give very timely feedback on each and every design submitted to give everyone the best chance to win this contest. See my last ones at http://99designs.com/logo-design/co…-one-39574 and http://99designs.com/logo-design/co…nics-40585 for proof of this. I will log in multiple times a day in order to answer every new submission before going to bed.
The best way to get a great website design is for me to review every submission and provide my honest feedback and to make recommendations on how to improve the design or to scrap it entirely and go with a new concept.
iAvionics.com Concept
This company is a marketplace for buyers and sellers of avionics equipment (aircraft electronics such as GPS, radios, etc.) to find each other. It is more business to consumer and consumer to consumer rather than business to business transactions.
The overriding message of the site is empowering users to save money by cutting out the middleman
The target audience are buyers and sellers of business jets and general aviation equipment, as well as current business and small plane owners and even avionics technicians who are seeking a specific part they are having trouble finding.
These individuals tend to have money (after all they are buying electronics for very expensive aircraft), are sophisticated and tend to be successful people. They are highly motivated and driven to succeed so the logo must impart quality and reliability to the visitors.
Please feel free to be creative. I require 2 pages: a Home page and a Search Results page.
The site also needs to have a background behind the site. The most modern backgrounds usually have a small section on top then a different color below it.
For graphics in the website pages images of business jets, planes, electronics, made up symbols, streaks, etc are all fine with me. A Business Jet is like a Lear Jet. See http://www.embraerexecutivejets.com…0_home.asp for an example.
The site markets general and corporate aircraft electronics (avionics).
Information about general (http://www.cessna.com/single-engine.html, http://www.newpiper.com/home/pages/Seneca.cfm) and corporate (http://www.cessna.com/citation.html) aviation. If you need additional images of planes and cockpit instrumentation they are available on these web sites.
Font: I am a fan of Helvectia style fonts due to their clean lines and no text end caps (like Times New Roman), but any font with clean lines will do (weight and style are totally up to you). This is not a requirement per se but rather a general guideline. If you have another font style you feel will work better please choose it. If I don't like it I'll let you know and work with you to revise your submission to my preference.
I can't wait to see the submissions!
