I have put together a wireframe of the desired layout here: http://www.allmarketing.com/wireframe/index.php. Just to be clear, the colors and lines etc. on the wireframe don't mean anything, I created the wireframe solely to lay out the desired positions and scaling of the different layout elements. The navigation system is basedon the navigation of http://news.yahoo.com so you can look there to see the navigation system in action.
The Color Scheme
Thepreferred color scheme is white and blue + at least one other color, But this is not set in stone so you can choose other colors if youfeel they look good for a site like this. Or just create the same design inmultiple color schemes.
I want a web 2.0 design / feel. The design should radiate some authority, but not in a boring way or withoutpersonality. http://sitepoint.com has a good balance in my opinion (I liketheir colors, and the left half of their home page excluding the look of the"editor’s choice" column). You can use their site as an example forthe feel that I'm aiming for, just don't make the design look like a SitePointclone or something close to that.
You couldalso say that I want the professional feel of a high quality premium content sitecombined with the personality and interaction of a blog.
What Needs To Be Done
Initially Ionly want to have the home page designed. After that I willhire the winner for future work on AllMarketing.com and maybe other projects. I'mlooking for talent.
The websiteshould be designed for the 1024x786 resolution, and delivered as a wellorganized and flexible Photoshop file. If you can design the website in1280x960 while keeping the same proportions so it's easily down scaled back to1024x786, that would be a plus.
