Akhiok-Kaguyak, Inc.
We are an Alaska native corporation looking for a website to allow for faster propagation of information to our shareholders and potential business partners, as well as provide basic information about our culture to the general public.
Akhoiok-Kaguyak is referred to as AKI in this brief.
1. AKI shareholders (includes Board of Director secure site access).
2. General public relations and basic corporate information.
3. Potential business partners.
The design should feel culturally relevant as we take pride in our cultural heritage. At the same time, the site should remain professional and helpful in overall tone.
We are a coastal village and would like to see both land and see as a motif used within the site. Color choices should be earth and sea tones. Colors used in some of the example websites are good. Use Kodiak Island, Alaska as inspiration.
Use of Alutiiq cultural imagery and petroglyph is important and highly encouraged.

We need an example home page, and one internal page designed. These will be used to create a custom template for a CMS that will power the site.
The overall page structure will be outlined in the attached wireframes, and should be used as a guide.
Notes about the attached wireframes:
Heading in the left sidebar reads Annual Meeting, and the blurb is recent news regarding the Annual Meeting.
Box just below navigation is a drop-down sub navigation.
None
Alutiiq Museum (http://www.alutiiqmuseum.org/am09/): Same culture as on the AKI site
Koniag Corporation (http://www.koniag.com/): Same culture (they are the regional corp, AKI is the villiage corp). A similar look to this and Alutiiq would be fine.
Sealaska Corporation (http://www.sealaska.com/page/home): Organized well, easy to navigate, visually appealing. Nice photos.
Central Council (http://www.ccthita.org): Graphics look great.
