CoPoly Technologies: High Performance Energy Absorbing Bumpers -- Advanced Copolymer Technologies Outperforming Rubber, Urethane
CoPoly Tech is an industry leader for engineering and selling high performance energy absorbing bumpers for the light and heavy equipment, rail, mining, recreation and medical industries. While other products made of rubber, urethane and coiled steel break down and fail; our products hold up and are reliable under enormous pressures found in our client’s work environments. Our customers are looking for quick solutions without a lot of hyperbole. They want to find their solution and move on. Placing orders quickly with little interruption and distraction is vital. Yet, the data has to be available when sought – these are engineers after all. Therefore straight forward navigation, including standardized ecommerce navigation, and market imagery is a requirement. Plus, we will be integrating our design with the InSite Merchandiser ecommerce content management platform (http://www.insitedynamics.com/produ…ndiser.php).
From a brand perspective, it is important to us that we remain inviting to engineer types, while maintaining a clean openness for an otherwise industrial website design. We need to present ourselves as leaders and let visitors know we can be counted on to deliver a quality product for their demanding needs. True, our current logo and website header are not self-serving. We invite designers to modify these components and will leave open the opportunity to reward an additional payout for a quality upgrade to our identity.
Note, as a manufacturer of industrial absorption products for equipment, rail, mining, recreation and medical clients, we are excited about the notion that we are in a space with limited competition. And of that competition, most choose not to be aggressive (or even flamboyant) with their designs and brand. Note: American Urethane, Precision Urethane, Hawthorne Rubber, Rubber Cal, etc. We are trying to break that mold and instead use the current environment as an opportunity to use design and branding as a way to shine and thrive, much like leading manufacturers, Caterpillar, JCB, DitchWitch, Volvo, Terex and a handful of other industrial manufacturers.
- Provide layered PSD file (CS2); fonts must be standard system fonts found on PC and Mac.
- Provide an updated CoPoly Technologies logo to replace CoPoly Tech, LLC and CPT currently found in the header; ignore what you see online and improve the best you can. Additional payout available for a good job. Plan high resolution logo files that can be used for print; i.e. editable Illustrator or Freehand file; include relevant fonts, and color and black & white versions.
- Design website based on a fixed 980px wide page. Theme should be clean, open, industrial, but not boring with a nice web 2.0 feel; easy to navigate, focus on markets and products. We have provided a wireframe (based on a basic InSite Merchandiser ecommerce layout -- see download link below) for general ideas of content and placement, but note this is only for suggested placement and we are open to your ideas.
- Colors: currently we have a lot of blue. We’re not tied to this, although the color is prominent in industry and technology. We believe some rich grays will help, especially when having a good design means you shouldn’t see it but rather the markets and products.
