Character Bee is a gift provider for boutiques as well as national retail chains. The heart of our business is t-shirts for Ladies and kids. We have a strong well known brand in Bee-Tees, but are looking for a new design that captures the essence of Southern Belles!
I'm a 40 year old Mom of a chatty 4 year old and a set of 8 month old twins, so my creative juices are spent!

Women aged 30-80 who live in the South or were born in the South and have moved away. This is our primary market already. These women love being Southern, they love grits and eggs, their college football teams, and going to Church every Sunday. They are teachers, office workers and health care workers. They are volunteers in many civic organizations and love having "girlfriend getaways". Their families come first, they help with school, sports activities and girl scouts. Most of them love to cook and they love pretty things! They have great senses of humor and love good food, fun and fellowship with friends. They make great macaroni pie and know how to multi-task to get it all done! Most of all they are the heart of this great country and would love to have a design that shows their pride in who they are and where they live!
We want a feminine design using the words Southern BELLES Beauties Enjoying Life. Loving Every Second. Obviously Belles in an acronym for Beauties enjoying life. Loving every second. Southern can be much smaller than Belles. Belles needs to be the focus of the design with the beauties.... below. We would like to incorporate a symbol of Southern life in the word Belle somehow, like a flower (dogwood or magnolia perhaps) or flip-flops (you see this a lot on current Southern themed items) or sunset, old plantation style dress silhouette. Anything that makes you think of warm, lazy, happy days. Here is the address to the Girls raised in the South website so you can see what they have done incorporating an icon into the words http://www.gritsinc.com/.
You can use clipart if you like. We want to evoke emotion from women who wear it and see it though. Not hokey, just feminine.
Our design will be screenprinted on light colored shirts (pink, green, white). We would love for the color scheme to be simple hopefully no more than 3 colors. You choose fonts, mix them if you like. A script or very feminine flowing font seems most appropriate to me. But a design that women would wear. Use a horizontal layout 11"X 8 1/2". I'd like to have an eps and jpeg of the winning design.
