ZigZag
ZigZag Software is a San Francisco-based startup and we are reinventing the whiteboard using touch-screen devices like the iPad. Our goal is to help people visualize their ideas and share them with others, no matter where they are.
Whiteboards are indispensable tool for collaboration, but there are some real problems with physical whiteboards that are crying out for solutions:
1. It's impossible to use them effectively unless everyone in the meeting is in the same room.
2. The drawings are difficult to save and reuse.
3. Most people are not great at expressing themselves visually and could use a little help.
We are working hard to solve these problems.
We are also striving to create a brand that embodies the creative spirit required to generate new ideas and design new products and also links that creativity back to execution and results.
We want to appear approachable and friendly while maintaining an air of competence and professionalism.
Our initial customers will be business people who work in companies that either have remote offices, have people that travel a lot, or both. We want them to feel that we have created technology that they can rely on to help them collaborate more effectively with each other.
We'll also be interacting with potential investors, who are looking for breakthrough companies that can innovate and grow fast.
We are looking for an identity package that embodies our brand. Specifically, we need:
business card design (standard size)
8.5x11 letter head + envelope design
A successful design will blend the concepts of creative, practical and cutting-edge into a tasteful package.
You can take a look at our page in the iTunes app store here: http://bit.ly/zigzagapp
You can also take a look at our temporary website: http://www.zigzagboard.com
You should also look at the attached files, including the potential blog design we are working on.
But by all means, if you've got a compelling idea, then feel free to go in different directions as well (although the logo shape must remain the same). We will do our best to give you feedback soon after you post an entry.
Although it's not an absolute requirement, it would be great to have some whitespace on the business card to write things.
We are most likely going to have our cards printed with a printer that allows us to do multiple backs, so designs that can incorporate a variety of alternative colors, images or quotes on the back could be interesting.
