We sell uniquely Southern, affordable gift items: primarily kitchen towels, utilitarian bags (for groceries, garden tools, etc.), and aprons. All our designs are based on a clean aesthetic and targeted primarily at college-educated women. Inspiration for our designs comes from Southern literature, music, and folk wisdom. Our products are never cliched, boozy, or religious in nature. Our primary audience is smart, sophisticated, and has a sense of propriety. Our customers are NOT the Southerners who fly the Confederate battle flag.

The use of a human figure who is happy is great, but this design is too masculine for our purposes.

We like the simplicity, but this design probably crosses too far over the "precious hipster" line.
This feels hospitable, warm, and open — all traits we wish to convey. Also love the choice of a buttery yellow color to match the name.
The goal of our products is to make people smile — and to cement the emotional connection between gift giver and recipient. Our products use Southern sayings and literary references that are familiar to all Southerners. To give someone one of our products is to say to the recipient, "I understand and appreciate where your roots are, where you come from." But your design must NOT cross the line into iconography associated with the "Old South." Truthfully, we believe that a designer with roots in the South will most likely come closer to hitting our mark.
