LeadSloth is my marketing consulting company. It's a 1-person 'boutique' operation providing high-end consulting services. Creating a strong brand is important to me, and so are great designs. For example, take a look at my latest PowerPoint presentation (attached).
I promote my company by providing great content (free). I have a popular blog, I actively use Social Media, I present a webinar every month, and this is the first eBook that I've written. Secretly I hope that one of my eBook or presentations will go viral some time, because currently it's often more work to promote it than to write it.
The target audience are marketing executives at mid-size companies. They appreciate nice design and creativity, but it shouldn't get too crazy. Most people will read the eBook on their computer, but it should also be possible to print it on Letter-size paper.
=== Start of Requirements ===
I like a white, spacious and airy design. Make liberal use of the accent colors, but no orange backgrounds please :-)
Be inspired by the design of the attached PowerPoint presentation. There is no need to make it identical, but it's nice if there is some 'family resemblance'.
"Tip" sidebar on all pages (except on first page). Position can be flexible, but it should look similar on every page. Often there is text with bullets in the sidebar. Make a nice design for the bullets (okay to use some color).
"More Content & Resources" section on the bottom of all pages (except first and last page). I call this the "bottom-bar". Position should be the same on every page. The actual text is specified in the Word document. It should contain a clickable link. Maybe it's possible to have an icon that illustrates that people can click on it, because few people realize that PDFs can be clickable. For now, I've simply added the text "(click here)" but I'm open to better solutions.
Page numbers on every page except front page, location not so important. Please no mirrored design, because this document will be read online.
One image on every page, except the last page. The Word document specifies which image goes on which page. I think the images are high-enough resolution (I bought medium-size at iStock), but let me know if you need a higher-res one.
The company logo is only shown on the first and the last page.
InDesign CS3 or CS4 source file required and a PDF (max 5Mb in size).
Font: Myriad Pro, Gill Sans or something similar.
Because people will mostly read this online, the font and line spacing should be relatively large (as far as space allows).
Color scheme: dark green (RGB 69-91-42), light green (RGB 141-198-63), pale orange (RGB 229-159-55)
