Enticing Rack Card for Unique and Fun Sculpture Park Nature Preserve

BACKGROUND: On Whidbey Island northwest of Seattle Washington, we have opened a fun new public sculpture park and nature preserve on a beautiful 16 acre property that is covered with tall 100 year old coniferous trees. A walking trail loops through the property, and beside the trail are outdoor art sculptures. Visitors enjoy a short walk through a peaceful forested habitat, and along the way come upon delightful surprises of sculptures within the forest that blend well with the environment and demonstrate a nature-based theme. RACK CARD PROJECT: We are seeking a design for a rack card, which is a small 2 sided color flyer that will be used in promotional display racks to entice tourists to visit Price Sculpture Forest plus provide some trip planning information. AUDIENCE: Target audience is tourists and other visitors who have never been to Price Sculpture Forest. The rack card would be picked up by tourists at tourist information centers and should have enough information to entice them to visit plus know enough so they can get to the park and know some basic rules for entering. The Sculpture Forest especially appeals to people who appreciate art, walking outdoors, and family oriented activities that both kids and adults enjoy.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: > Rack cards are 4 inches wide by 9 inches tall, and the final files should have a 0.25 inch bleed beyond the edges. > Provide final design in an editable file format that uses Adobe software, in addition to static printable output file type that would be appropriate for high quality commercial printing (300dpi or higher pdf). FRONT SIDE CONTENT: > Include logo. > Include tagline "Where Art Enhances Nature and Nature Enhances Art". > Include 2 photos named "Front side X.jpg" (they can be ordered on the page as looks best). > Include text such as (this can be modified where needed, though these are the main concepts): "Price Sculpture Forest is an outdoor art experience set within a century old native forest of massive trees, lush plants, and wildlife. Gentle trails are alive with surprise, honoring the artistry of nature and how it can relate to creative inventions of people. Wander in Wonder to discover sculpture at your side, floating up in trees, and hidden behind foliage. You can also learn about art and artists through a free interactive self-guided multimedia tour or just take a peaceful stroll through the soothing sights and sounds of the Sculpture Forest." > Remember that rack cards are generally kept in slots on shelves, so only the front top half is initially visible to grab someone's attention for them to hopefully take the rack card and then read the rest of the lower front and entire back. BACK SIDE CONTENT: > Include 3 photos named "Back side X.jpg" (they can be ordered on the page as looks best). > Include trip planning info: "> Open every day of the year from 8:00am - 7:00pm or sunset (whichever occurs earlier) > Sorry, no dogs or bikes allowed > Free admission, donations appreciated > For more info visit www.SculptureForest.org" > Include address: "678 Parker Rd, Coupeville, WA 98239". > Include written driving directions: "1) From Coupeville's downtown historic waterfront, go up the hill 2 short blocks on Main Street. 2) Turn left on 9th Street. 3) Go 1.5 miles (road name automatically changes to Parker Road) and arrive at the Sculpture Forest on your left." > Include a very simplified graphical map (placed below the above corresponding written directions) that basically replicates the main path shown at https://goo.gl/maps/KyP9wpeoqfUwrwNdA. Do not write out the starting address on the map, though, since that address is just used to form the shape of the route and otherwise has no meaning for the map. The map should show "Main Street" (first short vertical section), "9th Street" (first road that route turns left onto) and "Parker Road" (after the curves in the road toward the middle/right of the route). ADDITIONAL NOTES: > I have provided extra/optional photos if you think that more photo(s) would be helpful for a good design. Even more photos can be provided, if needed. > It is not mandatory to use all of the Front and Back photos that I provided, especially if they make the design too crowded, though it would presumably be good to have photo visuals on both sides of the rack card. > You can leverage some design cues from our website design at https://SculptureForest.org, though that is not required and please feel free to come up with a new design that is completely different than our website if desired. > You do not need to use the logo colors in other areas of the design, as long as it all ties together well.
