Fun, Cool Youth Book with a Magazine Feel

We are a Christian non-profit that teaches young people to search for truth in the Bible and follow Christ. We are in a redesign now of our books. If we choose you, we would like to consider using you to do other books for us.

We offer books to three levels: preschool, elementary, middle school.

You will design a cover, 3 static pages, and three template pages for an elementary book.

For our program, there are three years worth of books per level divided by color year. This book is the red year. It does NOT need to be a red book but it would be good to have some tint of red.

All pages are full color, 8.5 x 5.5, landscape book with binding on the 5.5 side and full bleed, with a hard cover. (Flat size=(W x H):17" x 5.5" ----- Finished size=(W x H):8.5" x 5.5" ----- Binding Edge= 5.5")
You are only designing the covers, 3 static pages, and 3 template pages. The total book length will be 200 pages but you are only designing a few that will be used to make the whole book.
So the designs are:
1. front and back cover
2. 3 static pages
3. 3 template pages
Our book is a kids christian detective theme.
The design should be fun, adventurous, and colorful.

Under Attachments: I have TruthJournalSketch.pdf that is a sketch of what we are desiring and I put the text files under a zip folder of the Indesign file (InDesignFilewithText.zip) so you don't need to type and also the same TruthJournaltext.pdf (in case you don't have Indesign).

The character ideas are perfect style and age of characters we are looking for but without the technology. The detective look we want is a little of the old-school not high-tech spy.
