Diseño de inspiración
I am an art dealer and visual arts exhibition curator. My client's are very high-end art collectors who work with museums, art fairs and art foundations, as well as private art collections in Europe and the USA. My exhibitions are highly creative, boundary-pushing, collaborative with artist and always single-minded to create a unique experience - backed by intelligent and detailed research. I put at least 1 year planning into each exhibition so that I give myself time to collaborate and create something that I have never experieced before and something that comes from within. I also buy and sell art for my client's collections and work with leading London art galleries. I am also in love with creative agencies and fashion brands and take inspiration from both industries in my work. I would like my website to target the art intellectual as well as the luxury fanatics who buy high-end fashion, but may not know as much about art, yet have the power to start an art collection - these buyers tend to buy based on projected image. The product is me - its a consultancy business based on my advice to clients and artist and my creative flare that I bring to the industry, which is still quite set in it's old traditional ways. In art, image is half of the game, but intellect and research is another very important part. I would like a part of the website to showcase research, monthly newsletters, and image blogs from projects and new artwork, or up and coming artists to watch out for. Most people will come to my site through word of mouth because they are looking to incorporate an arts and culture program into their business or lives, or they will come because they have met me directly and will be interested in seeing the projects related to art that I take part in. They may also be looking for advice on the art market or to buy or sell art for thier collection - maybe even to start an art collection. In addition to fashion minded people, a large part of my business is working with lots of architects and interior designers so having a very well designed site that projects a creative and sophisacated image is something that I am focused on.

For the finals, I want to go with designs with a black background and a gold logo (logo with bee and name - Christopher Shake) wirtten under the bee. I only want to go with one tone of gold - no lighting effects.

I really like bees and may favour someone who incorporates a very cool bee into the logo of my name. Abstract or literal ideas welcome, I left some notes under the bees image in the breif. One of my favourite quotes on brands: BRAND DESIGN IS Fundamentally about: STORYTELLING — human beings need stories and they need great stories in order to follow a leader. A leader must be a great storyteller and he must tell a story in which he believes. I research my artist to learn about and build stories around them that I can share with my clients. I would like it to image heavy with minimal text - only the important parts. I want to incorporate moving images into the home page or when the pages change (I will get the moving image to you tomorrow). I love simple design. Everything black and grey except for the artwork or the project images. On the home page, I dont want any text except for something that takes you to the next page. For the 5 pages, home page (only image - moving or still - with logo and menu bar), services, about, whats new, contact. Something to that effect. I want the design to have more a creative agency feel than that of a boring art consultant. Right now, I'm closing a project with Ministry of Sound to curate a musicians members club with artists who push boundaries - I need my site to be more on the "rockstar" side than than "professor of art" side.
