Launching December 26, YoDaddy.tv is a video sharing site much like YouTube, with a focus on the use of open source software and the ability to stream flash video for longer periods of time than the traditional ten minute YouTube limitation. By using open source for every aspect of this project we are able to give everyone from teachers, ministers, public speakers, musicians, anyone who needs to store and deliver streaming flash video for non commercial delivery virtually unlimited storage and bandwith without obtrusive commercial branding other than an occasional YoDaddy.tv watermark and pre-roll and post-roll credit. We will even be providing the the commercial flowplayer license as long as it is served on one of our domains so they do not have their work obscured by the branding of the non commercial video player. This makes for a truly unique value that has never to my knowledge been offered before. We don't want to come across as "cheap", but we do want to emphasize that we have for "free, what others charge for because that is what separates us from the hundreds of other YouTube clones.
Contest is closed: Three finalists have been chosen and are competing for the prize.

Anyone who wants to broadcast themselves or is looking for videos for use in blogs, social media, training, or any other way limited only by creativity. We obviously are not making money giving away service so our goal is to build community. We want to attract a wide and diverse market. We want to particularly reach the new computer purchaser who can receive free training on our established channels. We will save them money showing them how to utilize open source"free" software.
