Sue Chadwick Walker, DMD, PC (Suggestion: Name may look best stacked atop the doctor’s accreditations)
The practice, located in Milwaukie, OR, a township outside the greater Portland, OR area, has been a thriving outlet for dental services the past ~40 years. Dr. Walker's current website and branding may be found at: http://www.suewalkerdentistry.com/.
Services include cosmetic, restorative, preventative and general dentistry for individuals and families alike. As reference, additional information on the township of Milwaukie may be found at: http://www.yourchamber.com/.
We are looking for a word mark and logo that is clean, simple and professional. The doctor wants to replace her current old-fashioned word mark, graphic and website appearance with a more contemporary design and color palette. For instance, the scrolled font and graphical reference to the dentistry trade (tooth, toothbrush, floss, etc.) needs to be replaced. A stylized ‘smile’ may be acceptable, but no caricatures (i.e. molars with biceps) will be considered. In terms of other graphical elements from the area, the Willamette River borders Milwaukie on its west side, and Cottonwood trees are most abundant.
She is partial to subtle earth tones such as sage, terra cotta, blue iris, sienna, harvest gold, wheat, etc. The colors / word mark must express her feminine side, to show attributes of trust, comfort, relaxation, etc.
Individuals interested in general dentistry from the greater Milwaukie / Portland, OR metro area.
Please submit each concept 2-up, with one version against pure white background and a second version reversed against a pure black background; no gradient backgrounds; we want the winning design to display well in a variety of applications (print, online, etc.)
Format: The winning design must be delivered as an Adobe .ai vector format file. All artwork must be original (no stock art elements) and full copyright ownership must be conveyed to Sue Chadwick Walker, DMD.
If you need any further clarification on this brief, we will be happy to address your questions. Thank you in advance for your time and interest in this project. We look forward to receiving your ideas!
