Somethin' Blue Portrait Boutique is taking over the Haire Studio and needs to change it's name to Laura Lett Photography

My business was mainly focused on weddings many years ago but I have over time transitioned more into newborns, children, & families. I do some corporate events but my main focus is families and kids. I am well known for beauty pageant head shots and newborn photography. My business is mainly portraits but I also specialize in offering more that just prints, we have in the past offered more boutique items such as handmade portrait jewelry, blankets, paintings, as well as apparel for portraits. Target audience: small rural town in the south, young families.

I have been in business for over 14 years, originally as Laura Lett Photography but after marriage I changed the name of my business to Somethin' Blue Portrait Boutique. A local photographer in town (Jimmy Haire, known mostly for having bunnies at Easter to take pics with) has decided to retire after being the only studio in our small town for over 50 years, he has chosen me to take over his studio and wants me to change my business name back to Laura Lett Photography. I have 2 girls, a curly red headed 7 year old and an 18 month old blonde, they are my practice subjects and if the logo were to include children I would like for them to resemble my own. Jimmy's Haire's Logo includes a rabbit and I will still call the studio the Haire Studio since it is well known in the area. I am not opposed to including something to pay homage to him or his studio since I will be taking over. However, I want everything to remain very classy and sophisticated. I love whimsical designs and silhouettes but nothing too cartoony. Feel free to use more than one color, I LOVE color. I would rather not have the typical "photog logo" style. I have always been a lil more outside the box.
