Our current test website is at: https://sysprosium.com/index.php?sy…orbit-v1-1 We are happy with the colors that are there, and would like a logo that looks good with it. The current logo on the website contains a lizard, which evolved out of a Monitor Lizard, which is play on system monitoring (a large part of what we do). We like the idea of it, but by no means are completely sold on the idea.
Things we'd like to convey about our company (please don't try to incorporate everything, that would just look silly! :) ): Security, monitoring, service, professionalism, experience.
We're not designers or developers, so we're entirely open to whatever you come up with. I'd love to see some completely new ideas as well!

Just to help out, here are the codes for the colors used on the website: #E0CAAE, #003b6f, #99b0c5, #6f3400, #ccd7e2, #F6F0E8, #86a900, #9ec700, #003563, #322B22, #3E5234, #8A9E81
Also, including the web page with the logo as part of the submission is an awesome idea that we never thought of. It really helps us non-designers see what it would look like. Thanks!
Sysprosium is a bit like a heartbeat monitor... we monitor to make sure all vital systems are functioning. We also provide a layer of security -- a compromised system is not of any use to our clients.
We want the logo to be professional and polished but not snobbish. We take our job very serious but we don't want to have the appearance of being full of ourselves. So, a certain amount of playfulness is okay.
We don't have a tagline or company motto. If, in a moment of brilliance, you have an idea that just seems to fit, feel free to include.
I've included a couple of images of our original logo sketches. By all means, don't feel as if those are the only ideas we are looking for. We are -NOT- artists or designers.. we are systems guys (admins, coders, etc). For us, a text file or command prompt is a thing of beauty. You are the professionals and so we look forward to seeing all the different ideas.
Most of all, have fun with it!
PS - The pin dude in the image wasn't an actual logo idea. He is just something sitting on my desk that I thought might be inspirational or just silly.

Please capitalize the name. A strong, small-cap font is also acceptable.
We have received some submissions that include a shield or shield design. We have found that the shield image is too overdone and is not memorable (even if the design itself is well done). Please avoid shield-type images.

We've eliminated all the image files except the logo-less website. We have a lot of submissions that are playing with the ideas from the hand drawings. A lot of great submissions. We would like to get some submissions, at this point, that are more from the developers imagination. Keep up the excellent submissions!
Through this process, we have come to a conclusion after receiving some of the submissions: The logo needs to be able to hold its own against the name. Sysprosium is not a simple name to say or understand and so the logo needs to be sophisticated and yet simple.
