A Moment of Science is a nationally syndicated radio program that has been produced every weekday since 1987 by WFIU Public Radio at Indiana University.
The program has a website archive of nearly 2000 programs at http:///amos.indiana.edu.
We have received funding to completely revamp the website and begin production of a new video program to modernize the program and make it more attractive to online audiences.
The first stage of this redesign is the creation of a new logo and visual identity for the program, and this is where you come in.
We would like to create a new, modern identity for the program that will be used on the new website, in the video program, as a podcast icon in itunes, and in print materials.
The current website gets 50,000 monthly visitors and the podcast averages 12,000 monthly downloads and is offered through the NPR podcast directory. The program is also heard on roughly 60 radio stations worldwide.
The program is currently called "A Moment of Science" but we are considering dropping the "A" and just calling it "Moment of Science" so this is something you might also want to consider in your design.
Design deliverables to include:
- Horizontally formatted logo/banner appropriate for the top of the program website and in titles for the video program- Podcast Icon (300x300 large and 75x75 small) - The program title must be readable at the small size.
