Rebecca is a landscape and portrait photographer based in Wyoming & Connecticut. An avid outdoors enthusiast, she travels widely to capture moments in time from the wealth of nature’s library as well as to capture the special moments in the lives of her clients.
Rebecca sees her camera as an extension of her eye. Her intent is to transform a stationary image into a visual metaphor that evokes an emotional or even a physical response. By creating a response to her photography, Rebecca hopes that some of her work will produce a sense of peacefulness and solace and even provide an avenue for healing.
Rebecca’s aim is to capture a moment in time that has the potential to tell a story using the subtlety of lighting and composition. Whether nature or human nature, realistic or abstract, micro or macro, the intent is to enable the viewer to see things they may not have seen before, or to guide them to see things differently. The fact that each picture has the potential for varied interpretations is an integral component of Rebecca’s love of photography.
Many of my photographs feature water, mountains, ice, beautiful skies and sunshine! My target audience is varied and includes art collectors and businesses who enjoy photographs on their walls and portrait, studio, and event clients as well. I also do a lot of teaching; teaching people how to use their cameras and digital software.
I would like my logo to be simple, professional and eye catching for people to remember, whether it has a catchy image, or just simple, modern lettering. I do not like the cheesy camera on a tripod stick figure, or the too common aperture ring or a cartoony camera, though if that makes the logo work, I would be interested in seeing it (perhaps subtly). I do shoot in my studio and outdoors, but I would prefer not to have a flash/strobes in the logo.
*I would like 2 versions of the logo: 1, that says RS Photography or Rebecca Stern Photography and 2, one that is just "RS" for use as a watermark or favicon, or in areas with little width. Optionally, one version that could be shortened to just "RS" would also work.*
My website can be found at http://www.rs-photography.com or at http://www.rebeccasternphotography.com. I have two websites, one for more business and one for more showcasing fine art work, respectively.
