The target audience is trendsetters in their late 20’s to early 40’s who carefully source their food products. Target customers care about farm-to-table, organic and sustainable practices when choosing goods and services. Supporting local is very important to Coloradans so preference will be given to local roasters and a strong “local” message is important.
pour will follow a wine bar model by offering a few different coffee selections from 4-6 of the top roasters in the country. The coffee offerings will have full tasting notes along with pertinent stats such as roast date, farm location, altitude, etc. This will allow the customer to choose from a variety of coffees based on personal taste rather than just the generic “house blend” or Colombian.
In addition to offering coffees from multiple roasters, pour will distinguish itself by focusing exclusively on the pour over method of brewing using a newly invented, patent pending machine that uses chemistry equipment to active the perfect extraction rate. Each cup will be made one at a time using scales and timers to ensure the proper extraction rate for an outstanding cup of coffee. Espresso and its variants, along with flavored coffee drinks, will not be available to start and will not be the focus
