This restaurant / food service organization is launching a Middle Eastern–American fusion fast food venture in a major metropolitan city. The entity is called The Pocketful, and is meant to reference the pita pocket a traditional Middle Eastern sandwich comes in. The food product offered is falafel, however the sandwiches are influenced by world cuisine and ingredients. For example, one falafel sandwich the Parisian, is influenced by French flavors: in addition to falafel, it features sundried tomato spread, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, garden greens and red onions.
Typical consumers will be either (1) totally unfamiliar with falafel, (2) have limited experience with this main ingredient, (3) or know the food well so the winning entrant should bear in mind that the name should convey the pita/falafel influence but welcome new participants to this exciting cuisine selection. The Chipotle brand would be an example of someone that has achieved this. The food will be distributed in both retail locations and mobile food vans. For the mobile food service, it wil cater to both stationery locations and food / street festivals, so the consumer may not necessarily achieve a familiarity with the product as a result “seeing it in the same place every day.”

The logo should include the name of the business “The Pocketful.” We are looking for a handcrafted logo that is informative, engaging and inviting. So clipart icons and the such are not desired. Having a logo that has a custom illustration is key to our brand differentiation from other parallel brands. Attached are five (5) logos that we like. The logo should be in a vectored format (.eps). Once the logo is selected, there may be another contest for the design of the food van.
