We are a new start up with big aspirations. We are a team of health conscious professionals with varied industry experience globally. We are creating a new website focusing on providing advice, products and services that will help support men who wish to live a positively motivated, healthy, prosperous and enjoyable lifestyle through their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and beyond!
The website will be filled with content covering: Fitness, Nutrition, Supplements, Motivation, Medical advice and more, presented in a friendly real-world style, focused on honesty and simplicity. In time it is likely to expand to cover grooming, travel etc.
We are looking to create a community feel to the site with an honest myth busting approach to the current online male fitness and lifestyle websites and ad banners.
Our target audience is simply all 40+ men, who are either already living a healthy life or wish to explore ways of improving their health and wellbeing, in either a small or significant way.
We expect many of our audience to be brand aware in other parts of their life and have a relatively high disposable income.
The logo has to be both bold and simple, with a clever use of the + sign. The style has to be professional and not cartoon-like in appearance and effective use of colour and design should provide an innovative outlook with a quality appearance.
The image needs to work well as a watermark on high quality photography and videos, many of which will have water or blue sky in the background as well as flesh tones. A couple of example photos are attached, feel free to use to show how your logo would look in a corner placement. But also show your logo standalone.
In the future the logo maybe used as a clothing brand, however initially it’s presence will remain online.
Do not add any other image to the logo, ie: Dumbells / Male silhouette etc. as we feel this should not be necessary to create the impact required.
We are looking to work with rich secondary colours, the colours we have in mind at this stage are steely / silvery greys complemented by aqua blues to deep purples. However, feel free to play with this if you believe something else could work more effectively.
The font style needs to remain clean and architectural.
File formats: JPEG & layered PSD
Additions to the brief as a result of what we have seen so far:
The word POWER needs to be uppercase so it has more presence
Feel free to make the + sign more bold and a bigger feature of the design, however we do like how it is used in #1
Also we do like how the logo has a blocked out background in #10 . If the plus sign was even larger it would allow for different block out section behind 40 than behind POWER...just a thought of ours.
