We are looking to upgrade our logo, which is our first logo created in 2005. The new logo must reflect the companies growth and maturity over the past 3 years into a professional streaming media technology service provider.
Simply put,Mediahouse Technology shoots video, edits it and publishes it to the web. Wehave a professional production crew who work onsite or within our Sydneystudio. We then edit the video with transitions, overlays, animations etc.. Wethen compress the content to Flash video specifically for the web (400x300 pixels, 25 fps 300kbps) andthen we publish it to what we call "Web Channels"which are custom built content management systems for media. We build thesechannels in Flash so that our clients can manage their own media library and upload and attach PDF files, PowerPoint slides ...you get the picture..
Our clients are corporate's who use us for company announcements, videotraining and other business to business communications. They are multi-globalgiants who all have massive IT departments but prefer us over dealing with internal policies and bureaucratichassles.
The old logo:
The idea behind this logo was the round circlerepresented a CD or DVD disc (meaning'media') and the font was just something we liked that looked modern. It wasonly ever meant to be a temporary design.
Itmust look like the logo of a technology company. Here are some other streaming media technologylogos.
Thelogo will mostly appear on a white background although we would like avariation for a dark grey background (#333333) like we have done for our existing logo.
Thecolours would ideally be the same as our existing logo. Although we are open toany variations you may suggest.
Theprimary message we want to send with the logo is:
- Professional but not too conservative
- Technology but not a blatant device like a TV or camera
- Secure and robust but nothing like a bank's logo
- Fresh & Modern
- a device that is too complcated
- a font that we cannot install on Windows or Mac to use internally for our own marketing
- a logo that resembles a TV - we are NOT a media company
