Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP)
The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention is a group of local community members whose aim is to reduce the use and eliminate the misuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
The target audience are the residents of a rural community in the western United States.
The logo should focus on the idea of an "alliance" instead of "substance abuse prevention". Think about how to depict a group of people united for a common cause. The design should be about "working together" instead of "helping people". So avoid the use of a heart in your logo.
It'd great if you could incorporate both "ASAP" and "Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention" into the logo, but it's not required.
The logo should be straightforward and literal. Try to avoid anything that is too abstract.
Here are some examples of what we mean by "straightforward and literal":

This logo will be widely used, both online and in-print, so it needs to look good both big and small as well as in greyscale. If you can, include a greyscale version in your submission so we can see what it would look like.
Sketched concepts are fine as preliminary submissions. We'll let you know if we like what you're doing and you can decide if it's worth your time to submit a (more) complete design.
