Midtown Medical Center
I am the Medical Director of a Medical Center in Uptown, Chicago, IL. Uptown is a diverse area. My goal is to make a change. The best way I can describe our location and the environment that we are surrounded by is through a personal story that occurs frequently.
A person walks into the clinic for the first time in many years and walks out learning that he/she is in the later stages of a terminal illness or cancer. These people either do not have time to schedule an appointment because of working 2-3 jobs to pay rent and put food on the table, or underinsured, or have no insurance.
We are looking for a logo that illustrates a fresh start, experience/trust, helping hand vibe from the logo.
Our primary audience (and specialization) are the elderly, senior citizens. There are many in our community. We also provide service to families and children.
We are looking for a logo represent the Medical Center. .
Here ar some of the guidelines:
1. No Cartoons - we want it to be inviting but not cheap or childlike
2. Nothing too elegant - we do not want to come across as being fancy. We want the locals to feel like they can afford medical treatment a couple times a week.
3. The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. We want something that stands out. Again being careful not to be too fancy.
Here is an example of a logo that we like:

Also attached are some files. I hope it helps.
We want to avoid the traditional medical symbols, however a socially relevant or a modern approach to the traditional medical symbols is fine.
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
We would also like a vector file also.
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
