We are a three person site design and development team that serve our clients by working with stateside contract designers and search marketers and contracted overseas developers.
We are under 35 and have probably too much fun with every workday and we dont hide that fact. We take our work seriously, but ourselves - not so much.
With that said we tend to lean towards monochromatic color schemas.
We want mainly guys between the age of 25 to 42 to really like what they see. Our clients tend to think of us as young and hip and smart. We do also do alot of work for women in the same age range but our approach to working with them is a little different. More sanitized. We are not going to pander to femininity.
Less is more. Clever is better.
I cannot stress this enough. A white hat should probably play a role in the design. We are not all that into trumpeting the "marketing" word in the name, but we have to say it. We are ok with a little mystery but we have to at a minimum tell people what Whitehat does.
The logo will eventually work well on business cards, a website, a outside sign, and letterhead. It would be preferred it there was a component of it that can be made into a nice favicon.
Some things we talked about but are not set on:
Japanese Calligraphy Brushes
A White semi-sketch baseball type hat with Whitehat under it.
The word marketing being kinda small.
The logo can be black on white or white on black.
Gradient backgrounds are cool.
The final deliverable will need to be a vector. We will need .ai/.eps files. PSD's in addition are welcome.
