We are a barbecue company who targets a mobile audiance. We started serving on the road side - under tents with a smoker hooked to a van. Now we are building a catering kitchen and will be expanding with food trucks to go to events as well as selling generally from the truck. We are great food on the move. Our niche is that we take great fundamental smoked barbeque and then compliment it with our own homemade sauces which are inspired from regional BBQ from around our country. For instance we have Missouri Apple, Columbia SC Mustard, NC Vinager, Kansas City Red, Texas Red and what we call the All American.

You may wonder why we spell it "Kernel's". I am the Kernel, origianally we sold popcorn on the roadside - Catoctin Popcorn Company is our ongoing sister ship. "The Kernel" is my title at the Popcorn Company, a pun on a popcorn kernel. When we decided last year to start BBQ concessions as well it seemed natural to call it The Kernel's Barbecue.
