Molly's Salads - Grown to Eat
Molly's Salads is an organic and sustainable company. We're here to transform the way people eat to support the Seattle community. We sell our food in coffee shops all over Seattle, and we're about to open up a storefront.
We're trying to keep an eco/environmentally conscious/sustainable/local vibe, yet be laid back. We don't want to be in people's face, but we want to be clear that we offer an organic/sustainable product.
At the same time, we represent a hip/cool place to eat. We are trying to differentiate ourselves from corporate places that tout themselves as organic/sustainable.
Please check out our website for more info: mollyssalads.com
We are primarily targeting a downtown lunch crowd.
The people we are trying to reach are:
- Between 25 to 50 yrs of age
- Work downtown
- Make a higher than average salary
- Are interested but not necessarily devoted to eating healthy
- Care about the environment
The person eating our food most likely dresses well, and goes out to eat with a group of people from their work. They are also willing to pay more for their, as our salads and sandwiches are a bit more expensive than the competition.
The logo needs to be used for our packaging, our storefront sign, our website, and our literature/brochures.
We're looking for something that is very legible. If our logo is on a sign outside our storefront, we want people to be able to see who we are from far away.
Name and Tag Line
There must be "Molly's Salads" and our tag line "grown to eat" in the logo. punctuation and letter size doesn't matter. As long as both of those are in the logo is what matters.
We're looking for something somewhat simple. Many restaurant logos tend to be way to complicated, we want to be able to put this on document headers, and on packaging. If it's too complicated, people won't be able to read it.
We want to demonstrate how dynamic our company is, so we want some movement in our logo.
We are also very interested in growth. From how a plant grows to how our community grows to personal growth. It would be great to see some sort of growth in our logo.
We also want to stand out from other lunch places. Many of them use leaves in their logos. It's ok to use leaves, but we don't want it to be the focus of our logo.
Please, no cartoons. An example of what we don't like:
