After 10 years of running http://www.lotus-pr.com, we're rebranding as Emerging Media as we have expanded our PR work to include branding, positioning, PR, marketing and social media. In addition, we are completely changing our business model whereby we will deploy senior freelancers across the country, and eventually the globe on projects, rather than building a big in-house team. So our new business model will incorporate both full service PR agency services, and the sourcing of exceptional talent --freelance media relations, writers, social media experts, etc. who want to support our clients.
Our company culture is entrepreneurial, smart, techie, savvy. Our look is clean, tight and very forward thinking. We want a design that is fresh and new. The personality that we want to convey is smart, accessible branding from those who are on the cutting edge of public relations and social media.
Our specific market are entrepreneurial CEOs, Heads of Sales and CMOs/Directors of Marketing. Traditionally we have been most successful with technology, financial services and gaming (online gambling) clients, however, with our new model, we can support any variety of verticals.
Our clients are typically B2B, venture funded start ups, or high achieving, fast moving and profitable technology -software, online, hardware companies. More and more are selling some percentage of products or services online in conjunction traditional sales and distribution methods.
Our customer is typically a smart, super educated 35-45 year old female marketing executive or a highly motivated 40-50 year male CEO who started the company himself. Both a MBA types with sophistication to understand the importance of the brand that represents them.
We want to be the go-to source for great branding, positioning, PR and social media for marketers and CEOs in the know. We want clients to feel proud and confident to be working with Emerging Media.
We loved our previous logo: http://www.lotus-pr.com. Note how the colors, orange and steel blue reflect tech and financial services, respectively. Also, the petals in the "flower" above Lotus are actually quotation marks --we get our clients quoted in the media. The logo was clever, reflected our markets and immediately conveyed smart tech.
The new logo:
1. Must animate: our "flower" spun, pulled apart, formed quotes. it had the potential for movement.
2. Must have an icon and the name, Emerging Media.
3. We tend to prefer sans serif fonts, but we're open.
4. We continue to love the new multi-colored logos, but would probably limit the # to 3 in consideration of printing costs.
5. Please consider iterations of Emerging Media, both horizontally and vertically, or in other shapes that would convey the brand. Please feel free to experiment with colors!
