GeoClaro, Spanish roughly translated into English as "Transparent Land" maps slums and critical infrastructure (water, power, light, sanitation) for reducing population risk in disasters, either natural or industrial like Bhopal. We do it for local schools, government responders, and the local population. Everything is free and open-source, and teaching local communities is an important part. We're starting in Latin America, specifically within Mexico City, and we work with the most vulnerable communities, helping them understand the risks they face and how to manage them internally through education, social bonding, and a little courage.
