I make back-office administration software for major cultural events and institutions. My clients include major Swiss film festivals, a literature festival, a music festival and a major photography museum, as well as the Swiss Film Academy, for whom I make and maintain the online voting platform. In other words, I make software for culture. Even if I write "Computer" in the industry field, the terms "Entertainment & The Arts" would be equally applicable.

Diseño de inspiración
The name "Ballet Mécanique" derives from a Dadaist short film by Fernand Léger from the 1920s, and means "mechanical ballet". It literally came to me in a dream after I'd spent the night trying to figure out what to call my company - and it seemed fitting from the outset: it describes how my company provides the mechanical support to make culture happen and it reflects the somewhat off-mainstream world of culture that my clients move in. Dadaism might be an inspiration for the logo :-) Also, I am developing my own software called "Pianola" (thus called, because it conceptually works a bit like the old pianos that could work by themselves with the help of hole-punched paper rolls), and that will eventually need its own logo too - preferably one that fits with the Ballet Mécanique logo. I'm attaching the current logo, which was basically just a typeface I found and liked...
