Altera is an athletic footwear brand. The company was started by a couple of guys in their 20's who love running. Sick of seeing so many people get injured, they discovered that the shoes were to blame 70% of the time, they created the perfect running shoe. A shoe that allowed the wearer to run as if they were barefoot, but protected from the elements. We make a running shoe unlike any other on the market. Our shoes do not get in the way of natural (and efficient) body mechanics like EVERY other shoe on the market. The shoes are minimalistic and have a sleek, low profile. All bells and whistles were eliminated to create a shoe that is light and free. Our mission is to help people run natural.

Altera: Run Natural
Cuéntanos a qué tipo de público quieres llegar
Everyone who runs or wants to run. Our shoe will appeal to a wide range of people, those who already love running and want to do it better and those people who have physical ailments that have barred them from participating in the past. We say that humans were born to run and our shoes will free them to do just that.
Altera: Run Natural.
What we are doing flies in the face of every running shoe company. So design accordingly.
We want the next swoosh.
Something simple and easy to place on shoes and apparel but can flourish on a billboard as well. Our concept is very natural and evolutionary, a return to the basics. We rely on the human foot to move you, not the shoe.
The bottom line:
we need a logo and it needs to look fast.
Should look natural.
Should embody quality without being overly technical.
Needs to look good in black and white or in color
You can incorporate our brand name as well, just be sure there is a logo, if you turn the A into a logo that can work as well.
Mainly though, WE NEED A BRANDMARK that you can imagine on the side of the shoe just like you see the swoosh on the side of every Nike shoe, this is far more important than an 'Altera' wordmark or anything else---we need a good, fast brandmark.
