Tell me what you think? I'm using Angela Powell Consulting till I can create the right name for my business.
I have worked for years making money for other people in the recruitment world and managing recruitment businesses. Now, after having my 4th child, I have gone out on my own as an independent consultant - consulting to industry on recruitment, recruitment process and workforce planning. This gives me the flexibility to earn more for what I do with less overheads, but also flexibility to work less days so I can spend more time with my children.
I also coach people on a monthly subscription basis. My experience as a recruiter, a manager in a fast paced sales environment and a parent of 4 children - aged 20, 16, 2 and 6 months gives me a broad range of experiences and lessons to share with my clients. Thirdly, I facilitate experiential training such as courses in "resilience" for people in high emotion/pressure jobs. I am developing a Working Parents Masterclass to sell to clients. This is a half day workshop for their parents returning to work after having children. It is designed to assist them with the transition and provide the tools for them to be successful in achieving work/life balance, and also meet their commitments to their employer. I want my business identity to cross all these areas and be appropriate for any of them. Making a difference for people is my passion. My niche is to do this in the professional world by using my unique skills and emotional intelligence.
My target audience is the professional client world and also professional working parents. Women - (bosses and mothers) and men (bosses and fathers) as well as individuals who look to me for inspiration as a leader in this area.
The areas I work in:
Consulting to professionals in recruitment process, staff planning, staff management etc
Coaching people to generate increased results - my clients are recruiters, managers and salespeople and one client is a motor mechanic!
Facilitating training courses in life management areas. The participants usually work in highly emotionally charged roles.
Writing training courses and materials in life management areas.
Developing coaching material for homework assignments between coaching meetings.
1. A Logo is the primary requirement.
2. I would love your ideas for a business name with an available domain name in .com or .com.au (but if you have none, use "Angela Powell Consulting" as the business name)
I imagine the business name to be shown in the logo or alongside the logo.
3. I would like to see a font style and two or three colours that can be carried through into my brochure and written material.
I like professional clean lines and fonts, I love clean white, and for dark colours I prefer black and charcoal grey over navy. I love colour and like to add to that a touch of something feminine and even a little bit individual on the edge of fashion!
In my working parents material, I'm considering putting some black and white photos of me and my family. We're relaxed, sitting on the wooden floor, wearing black tops and blue jeans. I like those retro style black and white photos where they put a little bit of pale colouring colour in them. I also like flowers and leaves. I like vintage styles and I like eco friendly styles, like natural papers with botanical and bird patterns.
That all said I'm really open and I have no pre-existing brand material. And most of all, the logo, fonts and styles have to send a professional impression about me to all my clients - from the Managing Director of a Company right through to my motor mechanic who I coach.
Thank you in advance!
