I'm Iván Ríos-Mena, an attorney, mediator, and consultant based in Puerto Rico. Right now my practice as a management consultant centers around conflict management, but in the future may include other areas such as general business strategy or change management.
I want to target primarily young entrepreneurs and startup founders who are, or may soon be, in a growth stage and don't typically think about conflict management issues. My practice also targets some medium-to-large businesses, but I want to not be seen as a "boring" consulting behemoth such as McKinsey & Co. (http://www.mckinsey.com) or Boston Consulting Group (http://www.bcg.com).
I'm a consultant, but I plan to expand into other ventures and would probably like to use a uniform identity. I am looking for a logo to represent my personal brand, as well as my business brand.
I want the logo to work as a personal (logo alone, or logo+my name) as well as corporate (logo+my name+"Consulting LLC") logo.
I want the logo to have my initials. The options would be: "IR" or "IRM". So I want one version to be "IRM Iván Ríos Mena", and the other "IRM Iván Ríos Mena Consulting LLC". I also visualize the logo having my name in text, more or less like this, in terms of having a logo and text by its side: http://bit.ly/98ZNiA.
-can have colors, but it absolutely has to be able to be used in black and white. If colors will be used, I prefer dark red, blue, and other 'serious' colors.
-no stock art
-use a font that is visually compatible with typical fonts, so that I can create a uniform identity in blogs, letters, etc.
-use only one font
-scalable, so that it can be used in any size, from websites to business cards.
-not "trendy", so that it can be continued to be used through several years without looking out of date.
