The Friends of Israel needs a new logo for our Volunteer Trip!

The Hesed Project

The Hesed Project trip is an exciting 19-day spring volunteer trip in the Land of Israel for Christian adults. Hesed Project members volunteer their time and labor at a local Jewish hospital (Kaplan Medical Center) doing cleaning, light maintenance, and any practical jobs. Hesed Project members also get an abbreviated tour of many of the biblical sites in the land of Israel. All aspects of the adventure instill a heart for Israel and its people.

The target audience are Evangelical Christian adults. Age of opportunity begins at 18 and goes up to as high as good health permits. We jokingly say the age range is 18-108.

The word “Hesed” is a Hebrew word that means “lovingkindness.”

Due to sensitivities involved in ministering to the Jewish community, Christian symbols such as the cross should be avoided.
