I am working towards building a photography business mainly oriented towards outdoor weddings but doing outdoor family sessions too. My aim is to eventually photograph only on film and attract clients who appreciate natural light and the character and timeless style of film. I hope my logo and the website I will build (after) to convey these values. My target client likes clothing in the style of vintage/boho/hipster, knows the value of handmade objects, has character and a unique personality and is appreciative of unspoilt nature. They would read http://www.ernestjournal.co.uk/ and maybe cycle on Pashley bikes http://www.pashley.co.uk/. They would have their wedding outdoors, with acoustic music, anywhere in the world, in places that speak to them (e.g. on the top of the mountain in Scotland or far away on a beach or up in a tree house, in a barn in the countryside, etc).
I would like my logo to incorporate element(s) of unspoilt nature (ideas would be scenery from Scotland or the north of Europe). It needs to stand out without shouting, to show its character and tell a story straight away, but in a non forceful way. It needs to be strong and feminine at the same time.
This logo would be used on photos that are not all smiley and fairytale-y, but very honest, showing people as they are, showing feelings that don't need a show off attitude. The nature in the photos would be also "as is", sometimes dramatic (vast emptiness and silence in Scotland), or it would have near-to-stormy skies showing the power of nature and how small we are in comparison or it would have lovely sunlight at sunrise or sunset where humans will feel loved and bathed in this splendid light and enjoy its warmth. This logo will end up on wooden boxes (for usb sticks) and on brown paper possibly or nice textured paper and on photos of course.
I would also like a simpler watermark for my photos (if possible containing my name not just the initials but it's not a must if it's not obtainable). Maybe the big logo will work well as a watermark too.
I will attach below some of my photos that are in this spirit - I haven't had a wedding yet in this style but will do this year. The one portrait of a lady with a yellow coat on is me.
