**UPDATE** What we are really interested in is getting the word Accolade designed in an interesting way - where the word itself contains a symbol/design or the word itself is the interesting design. So what we get is a symbol and a logo, where the logo is the word accolade integrated with the unique symbol that signifies our brand.

**Style/feel**: sharp, geometric, regal/royal/sophisticated

This logo is for a hardware brand. We have an online store that sells high class products that range from household hardware (eg. barn door-handles, faucets etc ) to hardware tools (tile leveling systems, industrial fans etc).

The target audience is interior designers, homeowners, businesses/professionals builders.

We want to emulate class, quality and caliber - yet have a friendly, personal, quirky and approachable brand.

We are a small business and want to emulate a feel that is both personal and professional. Please consider fun as an acceptable element of the design.

I want to encourage designers to play with the feel we want to emulate in the brand: Approachable (friendly, quirky, personal) yet professional, Precision, endurance, high quality, reliable, sophisticated, trustworthy, antique-modern, strong, geometric or faceted.

We prefer designs that are not cartoon-like or messy (however quirkiness is allowed). We also don't want door handles, fans or tools to be part of the deign. While we do indeed sell these products we don't want to limit our brand to specific household items.

We have included the definition of Accolade so that designers may see that the word itself emulates the above mentioned qualities.
Dictionary definitions of Accolade:
1. An award or privilege granted as a special honour or as an acknowledgement of merit.
2. A touch on a person's shoulders with a sword at the bestowing of a knighthood.

Synonyms for 'Accolade' include: honor, privilege, award, gift, title; prize.

If designers want to experiment with swords and knights we are excited and open to this idea - however we would ABSOLUTELY not like to limit you to these elements (You don't have to include them in your design).

What is most important to us is to have a logo that emulates the feel of the brand.

I have included logos that resonate with the feel we are aiming for. In many of the examples the brand name (actual words) are separate from other parts of the design, we don’t mind this - but it is not our preference. Feel free to enmesh the word Accolade into the deign.
