We sell high end cameras to the Navy and want to be the "eyes of the Navy." Our customer is the Navy. We sell to a sophisticated military application, so don't want childish or cartoony looking images. We don't want handheld cameras in the logo design but incorporating a lens or optic is OK. Our cameras are very high end and don't look like typical cameras. Consider including military like design or something to make it look a little serious less playful.

Diseño de inspiración
Consider another design example like what's shown in the attached image. Try to experiment with a ship as whitespace in a logo with two cameras on each side of the ship outline
My general for latest designs is that I'd like to see two things:
1) a little more of a modern feel, emphasizing cutting edge technology and military
2) slightly less literal, convey a naval theme without an actual anchor.
3) connect the logo to naval/maritime feel and imaging/sensing/optics technology, but not cheap personal cameras
We want "Naval Surface Imaging" in the logo, but you can also use "NSI" in there as well with subtext for "Naval Surface Imaging." You can experiment with use of "NSI" if you'd like. Our slogan is "eyes of the Navy" but you don't have to incorporate the slogan. However, you can use it as inspiration for the logo design.
We aren't fans of all caps in the text unless you choose to include "NSI" which should be all caps. Otherwise the "Naval Surface Imaging" should only have the N, S and I in caps.
