Baby Goes Mobile (.com)
I'm a young father who loves to share photos, videos and stories about my 4-month old son and I like to make websites, blogs, YouTube videos and mash-ups that feature his cute face and share them with my friends and family. I'm building a place for people to do just that - make their babies part of their "online lives".
The site/company is a place for parents to share photos and messages - and a few other secret ingredients ;) - with their friends and family. It'll be light-hearted, fun and mobile.
If you really want to get a sense of my personality, check out this video of my son George on YouTube. (You can hear me at the end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-ntWGHdG8o
The target market covers the younger parents out there: 20-30 years old, tech savvy, on Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr, has an iPhone/Android and likes to share photos and whatnot of their little one. (We'll probably get more moms than dads, but I can't say for sure.)
They like to have fun, play with cool/cute sites and socialize online.
The kids will most likely be under 3 years old, so if you want to target them think about what kids look for in a birthday party when they're a toddler.
There is going to be a full website and a mobile site, so the logo should work on a computer screen and a phone screen. It'd be great if a little portion of the big logo can be used as the icon/favicon, too. So I guess an illustration paired with text would be a good bet.
The name of the company is Baby Goes Mobile and you can use any combo of capital or lowercase lettering (e.g. Baby goes Mobile, BABY GOES MOBILE, baby goes mobile, etc.) and you can include or omit the ".com" if you want.
Here are a few comments for everyone that I hope help you out.
-No cartoon characters, please.
-Mobile: What do you think of when you think of a baby going mobile? Strollers, walking, the Baby Bjorn, crawling, etc. It's online: How do you connect to the internet? Computers, cell phones, modems, cell towers, etc.
The site is almost going to feel like it's "made by the baby", so it should have the color, look and feel of a "playground" atmosphere (if that makes sense). Attached is a sliver of the homepage so you can get an idea of the colors we're working with so far. Don't worry about matching perfectly, I'd rather the logo be awesome!
If you decide to use a special font, I'll probably ask for the name of the font. Of course, I'll need to have the image in the standard format for logos used online - that can come later. For now, have fun and make something cool!
I'll do my best to comment and provide feedback, so if you want to send a note my way I'll respond ASAP.
Thanks for your help and good luck to everyone!
