ABOUT PSG FRAMING
PSG Framing is a family-owned and -operated business located in the Sullivan Square neighborhood of Somerville in the Boston area. For over 30 years, we have produced custom archival frames for galleries, museums, consultants and corporations in Boston and New York City. Some of our clients include Barbara Krakow Gallery, Pace Prints, Pucker Gallery, and Hirschl & Adler.
Jenny Watkins, our designer and director and David Marks, our production manager, have worked together to provide our clients with the service, quality and attention for which we are known.
Our 18,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility enables us to produce beautiful custom frames quickly and efficiently for a wide range of clients.
PSG uses only museum-quality archival methods and materials. From the use of hand-torn Japanese paper hinges, 100% rag mats and backing, to the use of UV filtering glazing, we know that what is in the frame is as important as how your framed work looks on the wall.
THE NEXT STEP
Even established businesses need to evolve and revamp their public images, and we have decided that now is the right time for us to do so!
The most fundamental aspect of this process is the logo—it appears on all of our marketing materials and correspondence, including business cards, order forms, vans, signs, newsletters, and our website, among other things. The logo is a wonderful opportunity to create a unique, instantly recognizable, and trustworthy beacon in the fine art and framing industries.
We are ideally looking for something vintage- and industrial-inspired, yet playful and eye-catching, to highlight our many years of experience and service, as well as the fine craftsmanship that goes into our frames. A specific motif that we would like to be included is a pair of wings, perhaps around the letters “PSG” in a Superman-like diamond.
If you are interested in assisting us with this small, but hugely important element of our outreach strategy, please submit your design(s) by April 30, 2012. Thank you in advance!
