I plan on using this logo for my web site, businessofarts.com. However, do not include the ".com" in logo.
My practice specializes in translating the left-brain dominant languages of business, finance, and taxation into the language spoken by right-brain dominant artisans in a non-threatening, easy to understand manner. As such, I want to the logo to emphasize the contrast between these two sides. With the word “business” I see all-caps, formal with imposing serifs. With the word “arts” I see more free-flowing, inviting curves.
That’s not to say I’m only interested in a text-only logo. But if you’re inclined to include graphics of some sort, make sure they are generic enough to apply to all genres, or at least make sure all the big genres are represented [filmmakers, painters, actors, photographers, singers, writers].
The web design is far from being locked down, but I’ve been thinking a black & white theme with occasional splashes of color for well-placed emphasis (again, the contrast between the worlds of business and arts). However, I encourage your creative suggestions on the subject of color, keeping in mind I am running, ultimately, a CPA firm that brings with it certain expectations of responsibility and trust.
