** DESIGN BRIEF UPDATE **
After getting feedback from a range of friends and colleagues, it turns out that my original suggestions were a bit too "chemistry" and not enough "data", so after some thought (and an extension of the competition), I'd like a design that reflects this, perhaps borrowing concepts, shapes or themes from the many examples of D3 data visualization (see http://bl.ocks.org/mbostock and https://github.com/mbostock/d3/wiki/Gallery).
The logo could be simple, with more of the d3 insiration appearing on the business card, or the logo itself could incorporate some data-viz inspiration - I am open to suggestions. Thanks for bearing with me.
From the original brief:
FYI, ardibee is a meaningless word, it's just the initials RDB spelt out phonetically. This does not need to be incorporated in the logo design.
I would like the business cards to have some colour to them, probably (but not essentially) solid colour sympathetic to whatever colours are used in the logo. At least one side of the business card should not be white.
The logo needs to work on a website as well as on business cards and stationery. There may be follow-on work for website and stationery and maybe even FreeAgent invoice customisation.
