MOD Productions manages a range of creative digital projects including live event media, games and apps, screen-based stories, web-based software, publications and recorded media. We specialise in cross-media and transmedia.
Our team is passionate about making creative digital ideas reality.
MOD needs a new template-driven website to showcase our products & services to potential clients. The site will also serve as an access point for the broader cross-media community to many years worth of case studies. MOD already has a logo (attached) that we would like the website to be designed around (i.e. white, simple & accessible). The project is to design the Home page for the new website (wireframes are already completed).
Implementation in Wordpress is preferred. The wordpress theme should support the pages detailed and support the functional requirements (see attached 'Additional Info' pdf).
Our new website needs to promote our products and services to our clients, which include media production companies, creative and communications agencies, arts and community organisations. The decision-makers are very diverse in terms of age, gender, background etc so the site must be relevant and accessible to a broad range of people.
The site should also be accessible to other members of the community who are interested in MOD productions, such as other cross-media creators and geeks (however the main target for the site is potential clients). We anticipate that these visitors to the site will gravitate more towards the social networking and ‘News/Blog’ sections of the site.
The Home page must follow the completed wireframe and use the MOD logo as part of the header (both attached). The work that MOD creates is innovative, creative and cutting edge, so ideally we are seeking a sleek, simple background design that allows our work to ‘take centre stage’ on the site.
What we'd like:
•clean, simple design
•background colour of white, black or grey, with splashes of colour in the text or borders, not detracting from the panels that will feature stills/video clips of our work.
What we don’t want:
•we’re not wanting the ‘latest design fad’ as we’d like the design of this site to be relevant for the next few years
•although the aim of the site is to feature our products & services, we don't want the site to look too corporate. MOD prods is a creative, innovative company and the design should reflect this.
Sites of companies in our field that we like:
•http://goalpostpictures.com/home/ (although we feel the text is too small)
•http://animallogic.com (but don't want to rely on Flash)
**NOTE: we recognise that these sites are quite different, what we like about these sites overall is the simple, clean style of the designs**
