Diseño de inspiración
Our existing brand is http://www.bulleenscreens.com.au . That brand is location specific - we want this new brand to allow us to spread our geographic wings. The name is inspired by Weissach, which is the town in Germany that is the home of the R&D and Racing test track for Porsche. I love how Porsche have constantly innovated and their pursuit of perfection. Australians wouldn't spell that word, so I used a phoenetic spelling. I am very much into cars and Porsches in particular, but I don't want to make reference to this in an obvious way (except for a few nerds who might make the connection from VERY SUBTLE references in the design and commentary). With that in mind, I first thought to use the font that Porsche use for their main logo (see attached) and maybe some of the guide to their branding. I don't want to spell it out to anyone, but I don't really want to plagerise either. The logo and brand identity needs to appeal equally to men and women, be forthright, but not agressive. Our target audience is broad - ranging from the general public who may only buy our products once in a lifetime, to builders and others in the trade that will constantly buy for new projects they have. I'm not convinced by the tagline I put above - I would like something that says we care about precision, innovation and presentation and the products we'll concentrate on are those that are to do with windows and doors (screens and security now, but then window replacements, maybe blinds, security film on the glass and so on, so 'everything for windows' in a much cleverer way.
