I need a book cover designed for Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. I have created a study guide to go with it.
Audience: All ages who love A Christmas Carol or the works of Charles Dickens. Secondary audience would be Christians looking for short Bible study to do during Christmas or as part of a school project. The study will primarily be conducted in small groups in churches, homes, and youth groups.
The cover is for both a print book and ebook. The title, author names, and images need to be clear and easy to read when reduced to a thumbnail size.
There are a lot of books available on A Christmas Carol so the cover needs to be unique. I’m open to both illustrations and images. Covers representing Scrooge in some way would be best. The reader should feel that the book and study represent the subject matter.
The Front Cover should include:
Title: A Christmas Carol
Subtitle: Book and Bible Study Guide Based on the Charles Dickens Classic A Christmas Carol
Author: Charles Dickens (name bigger)
Study Guide by Alan Vermilye (name smaller and underneath Dickens)
The spine width is based on the number of pages in the book which I’m estimating at 162. I will be using white paper for the interior so this puts the spine width at .364824”. (white paper: multiple page count by .002252) However, the book is being edited and laid out and could change slightly but this should give you something to work with that is close. The spine needs to have the title (no subtitle), the author’s last name “Dickens”, and the Brown Chair Books logo at the bottom.
The back cover should include:
Top Headline (Kicker) in larger type:
Explore this fascinating tale of greed, second chances, and redemption.
Body Copy below in regular type:
In the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, the reclusive curmudgeon, Ebenezer Scrooge, is visited on Christmas Eve by four spirits who force him to examine his selfish ways. When Scrooge awakens on Christmas morning, he is a new man, flinging open the windows of opportunity and given to an entirely new outlook on life.
A Christmas Carol Book and Bible Study Guide includes not only the entirety of this Dickens classic but also Bible study discussion questions for each chapter, Scripture references, and related commentary.
Detailed character sketches and an easy-to-read book summary provide deep insights into each character while examining the book’s themes of greed, isolation, guilt, compassion, generosity, transformation, forgiveness, and finally redemption. To help with those more difficult discussion questions, a complete answer guide is available for free online.
A Christmas Carol Book and Bible Study Guide is perfect for book clubs, church groups, homeschool and Christian schools as well as independent study.
This Christmas allow the transformational story of Ebenezer Scrooge to transform your life while inspiring change in the lives of those around you. There's no better tool for making that happen than the A Christmas Carol Book and Study Guide!
